Dive into Lembeh Resort, 1-11 October 2021

Equator Diving invites you to join an exclusive trip to Dive into Lembeh Resort in Indonesia’s Lembeh Strait! Dive into Lembeh Resort has quickly gained a reputation as one of the premier resorts in Lembeh. The resort has a small number of Sea View Bungalows each with private Japanese-style Onsen (hot tub) on the balcony, a swimming pool with a spacious sun deck for sunbathing in between dives, restaurant, bar and dive centre with camera room. What’s more, the resort has two world famous house reef dive sites on it’s doorstep – “Hairball” and “Aw Shucks”!

Sea View Bungalows
Dive into Lembeh Resort’s standalone bungalows have been laid out so that everybody has a great view of the sea. Each balcony has comfy bean bags for your relaxation as well as a drying rack. All of our spacious bungalows are equipped with satellite TV, air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar, safe and ensuite western style bathroom with walk in shower. Drinking water is provided in all bungalows in the form of a five gallon hot & cold water dispenser, with tea and coffee facilities available for your use. Every bungalow has its own private Japanese-style Onsen (hot tub) on the balcony, perfect for relaxing after a fabulous day’s diving in Lembeh.

Dining
At Dive into Lembeh all meals are served in the open air restaurant / bar. The resort’s experienced chefs provide you with a great selection of local and international dishes. Fresh baked breads are made daily for your enjoyment. The resort’s fully stocked bar is a great place to hang out and their 55 inch 4K television is fantastic for presentations or just simply checking your day’s underwater results.

Diving with Dive into Lembeh
Dive into Lembeh schedules 3 day dives per day on their twin engine fiberglass dive boats to a choice of more than 60 dive spots in the Lembeh Strait. After every dive the boats return back to the resort so you can enjoy your surface interval by the swimming pool or make any adjustments to your camera before your next dive. A night dive by boat is also normally available daily. Dive into Lembeh has a fully equipped dive centre with a spacious camera room and dedicated camera rinse tanks. There is also a guest dive gear locker room, with gear rinse tanks and showers for after the dive.

Diving the Lembeh Strait
For macro photography it is hard to compete with Lembeh in North-East Sulawesi. Open up any coffee table book featuring macro critters and you can be sure Lembeh’s name will appear again and again. The list of critters that can be encountered at Lembeh is endless. During our last visit to Lembeh the diving blew us away – it was even better than our first visit and the Blue Ring’s we had come to see were there in abundance. It definitely pays to do your research if you want to photograph a particular critter! Our dive sites included famous names like Nudi Retreat, Hairball and Nudi Falls and the array of critters we encountered was spectacular – Hairy Frogfish, Juvenile Warty Frogfish, Robust Ghost Pipefish, Hairy Octopus, Flamboyant Cuttlefish, Wunderpus, Mimic Octopus, Hairy Shrimp, Lembeh Sea Dragon, and Pontohi Pygmy Seahorse all made their way in front of our camera! But in places like Lembeh it is not just about finding and photographing these critters, if you stick around you can easily watch each of their unique behaviours – Pygmy Cuttlefish feeding, Lizardfish hunting their prey, Goby and Shrimp living together and our highlight – two Blue Ring Octopus feeding and mating!

There are spaces available on this trip.
