Myanmar Mergui Archipelago Trips on The Phinisi

The Phinisi Liveaboard offers trips to explore the remote Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar (Burma). These Myanmar trips promise schooling fish, plenty of macro critters, moray eels, cuttlefish, octopus, sea snakes, forests of gorgonian sea-fans and encounters with a variety of sharks and rays. Sharks and rays encountered in the Mergui Archipelago include Mantas, Whale Sharks, schooling Mobula Rays, Nurse Sharks, Leopard Sharks, Marble Rays, Reef Sharks and the Guitar Shark. Big fish encounters are particularly likely at the remote northern dives sites of Black Rock and Tower Rock!

The Phinisi, officially known as ‘Cheng I Sao’, offers liveaboard adventures in Thailand and Myanmar. The name Cheng I Sao comes from a legendary fearless female Chinese pirate who roamed the Andaman Sea. The Phinisi carries up to 18 guests in 7 cabins with ensuite bathrooms and individual aircon controls. She features an indoor salon with 42″ flatscreen TV, covered outdoor dining area, sundeck with sunbeds and a shaded dive deck where each diver has a personal set-up area. The trips take you to the best dive sites in Myanmar’s Mergui Archipelago, including Western Rocky, Fan Forest, High Rock, North and South Twin, Captain’s Rock, Shark Cave aka Three Islets, Black Rock, Tower Rock and Torres Island.
