Jardines de la Reina (Gardens of the Queen) in Cuba, is a remote reef and mangrove system famed for its Shark and Crocodile encounters! During this trip on Jardines Avalon II Liveaboard you will have easy access to all of Jardines de la Reina’s best dive sites where you can encounter a variety of fish life, turtles, rays, eels and plenty of Caribbean Reef Sharks and Silky Sharks. You can also visit the mangroves, to snorkel with Cuba’s famous American Crocodiles and the beach to see some of Cuba’s land creatures, such as Hutia (a very cute rodent), Hermit Crabs and Iguanas. This trip has been timed for when the underwater visibility at Jardines de la Reina is at its very best!

Saturday – Embark Jardines Avalon II at Jucaro port and depart for Jardines de la Reina.
Sunday – Full day diving at Jardines de la Reina.
Monday – Full day diving at Jardines de la Reina.
Tuesday – Full day diving at Jardines de la Reina.
Wednesday – Full day diving at Jardines de la Reina.
Thursday – Full day diving at Jardines de la Reina.
Friday – Morning diving at Jardines de la Reina, depart for Jucaro port, dinner and final night onboard.
Saturday – Disembark Jardines Avalon II at Jucaro port.

Jardines Avalon II is a 136 ft. long and 25 ft. wide steel yacht, it was built and maintained to SOLAS shipping standards. It is diesel-powered, cruise at 10 knots and has 110-volt power onboard. She has 10 Standard cabins and 2 Suites all with air conditioning, individual thermostats and private bathrooms. Jardines Avalon II features a roomy, air conditioned salon and dining area, sun deck complete with a hot tub, lounge and deck chairs, stereo, shaded wet bar and grill, and a complete photo center with a digital video and still photo editing computer.

The vessel is spacious and offers large communal areas. The big salon is located on the main deck and is a cozy space where everyone can gather and enjoy the complete TV/media system. If you go upstairs to the upper deck, that’s where you’ll find the galley along with a restaurant-like dining room. Step outside on that same upper deck and you’ll find just as much space where you can hang out. Plus, that’s where the hot tub is located. Those who like to stay in the shade will also be happy as the sundeck is partly shaded. Sunbathers are served with a huge area fitted with sun loungers so they can relax, work on their tan and enjoy the view of beautiful Cuba. The boat features a sizable lower dive deck with plenty of space to store your equipment and get ready for the day of diving.

The cost of the trip is 4,000 USD including 7 nights on Jardines Avalon II with approx. 18 dives including 1 night dive, all meals, beverages (fruit juices, soft drinks, iced tea, coffee and local beer and wine) and return group transfers between either Santa Clara airport or Camaguey airport and the vessel (group transfer airport TBC closer to travel date). Group transfers are also available from Havana airport and current price is 100 USD/person/way.
