Lembeh Resort

Lembeh Resort is a boutique-style resort, situated on Lembeh Island and perched above the beautiful Lembeh Strait of northeast Sulawesi. The resort is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and blends perfectly into the landscape. With a 3:1 staff ratio Lembeh Resort is committed to offering you a high level of service. The resort’s location in the middle of the Lembeh Strait means 35 dive sites are accessible by boat in 15 minutes or less. When you’re not diving you can cool off in the resort’s freshwater swimming pool or relax on the comfortable sunbeds in the shade of an umbrella. The pool and sunbeds are just meters from the sea and offer stunning views of the surrounding volcanoes and spectacular sunsets across the Lembeh Strait.

All guest accommodations at Lembeh Resort include 24-hour electricity, en-suite bathroom with hot water, hairdryer, Lembeh Resort’s custom made soaps and shampoo, air-conditioning, king-size bed or twin beds, wardrobe, table and chair, dispenser for cold and hot drinking water, complimentary tea and coffee, stocked mini-bar, free WiFi and electronic safe.

Deluxe Ocean View Cottages
Deluxe Ocean View Cottages are available in 2 styles: Traditional Minahasan or Modern Cliff Side. Lembeh Resort originally built wooden cottages using traditional or Minahasan style building techniques with large verandas and spacious sleeping rooms with Balinese (semi open) bathrooms. These Traditional Minahasan cottages are fully detached and are surrounded by the resort’s gardens, located directly behind the waterline offering fabulous ocean views. For their newer cottages Lembeh Resort chose modern construction methods blended with traditional style and continued use of the semi open Balinese bathrooms. These Modern Cliff Side cottages are perched on a lush green hillside above the bay, offering unobstructed ocean views.

Garden View Rooms
Constructed in 2012, the Garden View Rooms are located close to the Restaurant and Dive Center and are nestled in lush tropical gardens. Wander along the groomed walkways or just sit back and relax on the veranda and enjoy the tropical sounds, local fauna and flora that the Garden View accommodations offer. These rooms are perfect for single travellers or persons with a smaller budget.

After an amazing day of diving, unwind by treating yourself to a relaxing massage at Lembeh Resort’s spa. Select from a range of treatments from a 30-minute reflexology session to 2.5 hours of pampering.

The resort has a state-of-the-art membrane Nitrox compressor, multiple air compressors, dive boats that are custom-built with divers comfort and convenience in mind and a spacious camera room that’s just steps away from the dive boats. Diving the Lembeh Strait
For macro photography it is hard to compete with Lembeh in North-East Sulawesi. Open up any coffee table book featuring macro critters and you can be sure Lembeh’s name will appear again and again. The list of critters that can be encountered at Lembeh is endless. During our last visit to Lembeh the diving blew us away – it was even better than our first visit and the Blue Ring’s we had come to see were there in abundance. It definitely pays to do your research if you want to photograph a particular critter! Our dive sites included famous names like Nudi Retreat, Hairball and Nudi Falls and the array of critters we encountered was spectacular – Hairy Frogfish, Juvenile Warty Frogfish, Robust Ghost Pipefish, Hairy Octopus, Flamboyant Cuttlefish, Wunderpus, Mimic Octopus, Hairy Shrimp, Lembeh Sea Dragon, and Pontohi Pygmy Seahorse all made their way in front of our camera! But in places like Lembeh it is not just about finding and photographing these critters, if you stick around you can easily watch each of their unique behaviours – Pygmy Cuttlefish feeding, Lizardfish hunting their prey, Goby and Shrimp living together and our highlight – two Blue Ring Octopus feeding and mating!
